What’s New

A Sense of Place; a photo exhibit showcasing artists who work with plant materials such as maguey, palm, reed, bamboo and vines to make baskets, hats, mats, brooms and bags from southern Mexico to northern Colombia, along with my own contemporary baskets influenced and inspired by time spent in the region is the theme. The opening reception is 5-7 September 2 and artist talk 1:00 September 3. The exhibit will be on display until September 30 at the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council’s Main Street Gallery at 330 Main Street in Ketchikan, Alaska. For more information (907) 225-2211. Below are examples of some of my newest baskets.

I will be in Oaxaca, Mexico October 12-16 for TEXTIM II, a biennial Mesoamerican Textile conference at the Museo Textil.
